I’ve got several other words that would describe it, “selfish” and “thoughtless” are much kinder than most of mine.
Monthly Archives: January 2012
Annnnnd that’s a wrap. What began in September with Oklahoma, LSU, and Boise State getting wins they hoped bode well for the future ends with Trent Richardson providing an exclamation point for the clear cut best team in college football and another national championship for Alabama.
It was a year when the gap between the truly elite teams and the rest seemed bigger than ever, where the top two towered above the rest of the field, #3 and #4 were pretty well head & shoulders above those below them, and the rest were ultimately just kind of there to fill up space. On the bright side it’s still the best regular season of any sport and entertains quite like no other.
And it’s just eight months until we get to fire up another one 🙂
Until then, it’s time for my final Top 25 for the 2011 season (final rank & pre-bowl rank before the team name, my pre-season rank follows their name)
1. (2) Alabama (1)
2. (1) LSU (15)
3. (3) Oregon (3)
4. (4) Oklahoma State (10)
5. (5) Arkansas (17)

FOR USE AT/AFTER 5pm … or whenever you’re ready to kick off your weekend
Haven’t done one of these in ages, figured it might be fun. After the whistle there’s proper Van Halen (you know, the version WITH Michael Anthony), newcomers Rival Sons, a fun cover from the Scorpions, classic Deep Purple and more. I just hope I put enough distance between the first band and the last one. Enjoy your weekend my friends 🙂
