J3C College Football Top 25 (after Week 11 )

If last week was marked by the sound of bubbles bursting, this week’s signature sound is more like KABOOM as several teams found themselves knocked out as thoroughly as Ronda Rousey.

Ohio State and Clemson delivered wins in unspectacular fashion, Alabama dismantled a Top 25 opponent, and then things went rather haywire … Baylor ran into a team that may simply be better than them, Oklahoma answered every challenge … Stanford rallied but lost to a wounded set of Ducks that delighted in playing spoiler after being the spoiled in the past … LSU got a dose of their own running game medicine and was significantly exposed for a second straight week … Below the bigger names no less than five other ranked teams lost in a variety of ways … even the teams who won didn’t all have an easy time of it, notably Iowa being pushed to the edge by a scrappy Minnesota and Oklahoma State having all sorts of trouble with 3-7 Iowa State … The homecoming crowd in Knoxville wasn’t particularly impressed by a win, even a shutout win, but it beats losing … For Georgia unimpressive was enough to handle an old rival … and for Georgia Tech fans a Thursday night game meant the suffering was already healing by Saturday, that’s about all the good there is to find on The Flats this year.

No standing eight count required here, let’s just roll out the latest JonsThreeCents College Football Top 25
